On the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT - 17 MAY)
For many young LGBTI people across the EU, going to school or university means hiding your sexual orientation or identity. LGBTI phobia in schools and universities can turn into bullying and makes it difficult and sometimes dangerous to come out.
With this webinar around the general theme of IDAHOBIT 2020 “Breaking the Silence”, we want to focus on the challenges that young LGBTI people face in Europe. In particular, in their daily lives of going to school and university.
Together with NGOs working on the ground, we want to understand their challenges and explore how we can help to fight LGBTI phobia across the EU.
