    Consultant, Social Services, Romania

Q: Good evening! I would like to address the aspect of ensuring quality of social services addressed to persons with disabilities. I fully agree the point of Ms. Maria Madalina Turza related to a different understanding of the dezinstitutionalization of persons with disabilities at EU level. Though there is a Common European Guidelines on the Transition from Institutional to Community-based Care and many other documents and strategies, the way the quality of social services and the deinstitutionalization process is understood vary from one country to another...Different initiatives are in place, like EQUASS, social audit, guidelines for ensuring quality but it looks indeed that there is not a common approach of quality of social services. Are there any ongoing initiatives for a more unitary approach and implementation of quality in social services (for persons with disabilities) at EU level? Thank you so much! (to Dragoș Pîslaru)

Q: Do you have planned a committment on - equal participation in the European working market with a universal European recognition as employee/worker with disability? (Comprehensive and unified disability laws in the members states that are still very different from country to country for disability recognition during studies and work, how a German cannot have the same disability recognition in Germany as in France once recognised in one country?) - measures and adaptations for careers of European researchers and engineers in research with disabilities (deadlines for becoming professor's or asking grants) - fostering research about disability and close collaboration of mainstreaming associations with researchers (foster participative research) - take care of the application and control of adapted use of the special needs allowance of the EC Marie S Curie Programs -support acessibility measurers for everyone to access with equity changes the higher studies until high level positions in academia -ensure mainstreaming with disability advocates during the creation of the European disability strategies, EDF for sure and others, include persons with disabilities in consultant structures to accompany the change - investigate the impact of Covid 19 on disability in Europe due to long term health issues, how to support these persons for re-education, job reconversion and employment respecting their new health situation

Q: EU-Funds are still used to invest in segregating settings but in terms of housing and education. Will renew Europe support a complete prohibition on investing EU funds in building or renovating segregating settings and institutions of any size? Will renew Europe work towards the promotion and availability of Personal Assistance throughout Europe? Progress towards the availability of PA and other Community based services can for instance be monitored within the European Semester process. (to Dragoș Pîslaru)
